Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to the treatment and recovery of injuries, pain and movement disorders, working on systems such as the musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory and circulatory systems.
It is based on movement and specialised techniques — manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, advanced technology — always with an individualised, science-based approach.
Beyond treating pain, it also plays a preventive role: it helps detect and correct dysfunctions before they lead to future injuries.

FAQs
Here we answer the most common questions about our treatments, sessions and way of working.
Most patients don't need to bring anything special. However, if you have any diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRI scans, blood tests or medical reports), it's a good idea to bring them. The more we know about your case, the easier it will be to make an accurate assessment and start solving your problem as soon as possible.
It's also a good idea to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and makes the examination and treatment easier.
During the first visit we carry out a full-body examination to assess the body as a whole and understand the origin of the discomfort or imbalance. Ideally, we need to be able to see and move as much of the body as possible, so we may occasionally ask you to remove some clothing.
We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothes, such as stretchy shorts and a vest top. That said, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable at all times: we always respect your privacy and wellbeing, adapt to each person and adjust the examination to your preferences.
Every person and every injury is different. Some patients improve within a few sessions, while others need longer-term follow-up.
We usually start with weekly or fortnightly sessions and space them out as you progress. After the initial assessment, we'll give you personalised guidance on your treatment and the recommended frequency.
The aim of treatment is not to cause pain, but to help relieve it. Most techniques are well tolerated, although some may feel slightly uncomfortable when treating particularly sensitive or tense areas.
After the session you may notice mild tiredness or muscle soreness. This discomfort is usually temporary, and most patients feel a sense of relief, lightness and overall wellbeing.
You'll always have a say in the process: we'll explain which techniques we believe are most suitable for you and why. We make the decision together, always guiding you towards the safest and most effective option for your recovery.
Each session includes approximately 50 minutes of hands-on treatment. We reserve a full hour for you, so you have time to arrive calmly, get changed if needed, tell us how you're feeling and get dressed at the end, without any rush.
No. We're committed to high-quality, one-to-one care without time pressure. However, some insurance companies allow their members to claim partial reimbursement for physiotherapy sessions received at non-affiliated clinics. Check with your insurance provider if in doubt.
For electrotherapy we use INDIBA® technology, which is very useful for inflammation or intense pain. If it's applied, your physiotherapist will be with you throughout the entire session.
We also use other electrotherapy devices such as percutaneous neuromodulation (PNM), TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation), but you'll never be left plugged into a machine for 20 minutes on your own — these are only used during your appointment.
Yes. We are trained in dry needling for myofascial pain syndrome and registered with the Physiotherapists' Association of Catalonia (Col·legi de Fisioterapeutes de Catalunya).
We ask that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can reorganise the schedule and offer that slot to someone else. In that case, your appointment can be rescheduled at no cost.
If you miss your appointment without giving us enough notice, no one else can be seen during that time slot, so a charge of 25% of the session fee will apply, payable at your next visit or when making a new booking.
Each patient has an exclusive time slot, so punctuality is especially important to us. If you arrive late, the session will still need to finish within your reserved time so as not to affect the following appointments.
Yes, in most cases you can and should exercise during your physiotherapy treatment, but always adapted to your injury and supervised by your physiotherapist. Exercise is one of the most effective tools for restoring function, reducing pain and preventing relapses, but it must be properly dosed so as not to overload the tissues.
We'll give you guidance and instructions so you can exercise at home or at the gym, adapting and adjusting them as your recovery progresses.
